Why Shoot a Daniel Defense DELTA 5 in 6.5 Creedmoor in Poland?

The Daniel Defense DELTA 5 is a bolt-action precision rifle built in the USA around one idea: a factory rifle that shoots like a custom one. In 6.5 Creedmoor it pairs the most efficient long-range cartridge of the last two decades with a heavy fluted barrel, an aluminium chassis stock and a user-adjustable match trigger — a combination that regularly prints sub-MOA groups straight out of the box.

6.5 Creedmoor is why this rifle is special. Developed by Hornady in 2007 with the shooters of Creedmoor Sports, the 6.5 mm (.264 in) bullet flies with a very high ballistic coefficient: a flat trajectory, less wind drift and noticeably less recoil than .308 Win — while still reaching out past 1,000 metres. It is the cartridge that took over Precision Rifle Series competition, and the reason long-range shooters talk about "shooting small, hitting far".

The DELTA 5 itself is the competition-grade expression of that idea: a rigid chassis with an adjustable comb and length of pull, a two-stage match trigger you can tune, a free-floated heavy barrel and a 5-round magazine. Daniel Defense guarantees sub-MOA accuracy with match ammunition. It competes directly with the Ruger Precision Rifle and custom Remington 700 builds — and it is a natural pair for the Nightforce scopes we run on our precision line.

For a European visitor this is a rifle you can rarely touch at home. Bolt-action rifles in 6.5 Creedmoor are licence-gated in the UK, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium and Spain, and civilian ranges rarely stretch past 100 metres. In Poland you shoot the DELTA 5 on the day, under instructor supervision, with only a valid ID — on steel out to 300 metres.

    FAQ

Daniel Defense DELTA 5 — Common Questions

Can I shoot a Daniel Defense DELTA 5 in Poland without a licence?

Yes. Polish law lets visitors shoot any firearm at a licensed range under instructor supervision. No firearms licence, no FAC, no permit — you only need a valid ID or passport.

How much does it cost to shoot the DELTA 5?

6.5 Creedmoor ammunition is 20,00 PLN per round — instructor and gun rental included, no hidden fees. Ten rounds is a good taster; thirty lets you shoot groups and steel.

What is a Daniel Defense DELTA 5?

A bolt-action precision rifle made in the USA, built around an aluminium chassis stock, a heavy fluted barrel and an adjustable two-stage match trigger. In 6.5 Creedmoor it competes directly with the Ruger Precision Rifle and custom Remington 700 builds.

    Why 6.5 Creedmoor?

It is the most efficient long-range cartridge of the last two decades: a flat trajectory, a very high ballistic coefficient and noticeably less recoil than .308 Win — while still reaching past 1,000 metres. It took over Precision Rifle Series competition.

How much does a Daniel Defense DELTA 5 cost to buy?

In the USA, expect roughly $2,000 to $3,500 depending on configuration. In Europe, where you need a licence, expect around €3,500 to €5,000.

Yes — 6.5 Creedmoor is famous for mild recoil, and you start prone on a bipod with an instructor at your side.

How do I get to the range?

We are in Pawłów (49-300), Opolskie, about 45 minutes from Wrocław Airport. A LUXCAB taxi transfer is around 250 złoty; details on the trip planning page.

How many rounds should I book?

Five rounds (100 PLN) is a proper taster. Ten rounds is where you stop fighting the bolt and start reading the wind.

Is the 6.5 Creedmoor good for a first-time long-range shooter?

Yes — it is the reason we stock this rifle. Flat trajectory, mild recoil and a forgiving ballistic coefficient make it the easiest way to learn precision shooting.

Can I shoot it on the same day as the Sako TRG 42?

Yes — 6.5 Creedmoor against .338 Lapua in one session is the classic comparison, and it is how most visitors finish the day.

Do I get photos of my session?

Yes. You keep your targets and we take photos and short video clips during the session at no extra charge.
