Full Auto Shootingin Poland

Nothing prepares you for the first burst. Semi-auto is a decision; full auto is a reaction. The moment the AK47 cycles at 600 rounds per minute, the recoil stops being individual hits and becomes one continuous push into your shoulder, the muzzle blast hits your chest, and hot brass arcs out of the ejection port in a stream. Most first-timers laugh out loud before the magazine is empty.

Each platform feels completely different. The AK47 in 7,62x39 is heavy, loud and rolls upward — you learn to lean into it. The AR15 in 5,56x45 is flat and controllable, which is why it is the best rifle to learn burst discipline on. The Scorpion EVO 3 and UZI in 9 mm cycle so fast that a full magazine disappears in under two seconds, and the Glock 18C is pure chaos in the palm of your hand.

This is live fire on a real outdoor range 45 minutes from Wroclaw, not a simulator and not a tourist gimmick. You shoot steel and paper at realistic distances with an ex-military instructor beside you on every single burst.

You do not need a gun licence, a permit, a club membership or any prior shooting experience to shoot full auto in Poland. Polish law allows a licensed range and a certified instructor to place a firearm — including select-fire weapons — in the hands of a visitor under direct supervision. That single legal detail is why full auto shooting is legal for tourists here and effectively impossible in the UK, Ireland, France, Germany or the Netherlands.

The requirements are simple: you must be at least 18 years old (16 and 17 year olds may shoot with a parent or legal guardian present and consenting), you must bring a valid ID card or passport, and you must be completely sober — no alcohol, no drugs, no exceptions, and we will refuse a shooter who arrives intoxicated. Pregnant visitors and anyone with a heart condition or serious hearing impairment should talk to us before booking.

Absolute beginners are welcome and make up most of our full auto bookings. Experienced shooters, competitors and military or law enforcement personnel can skip the basics and go straight to controlled bursts, transitions and mag-dump drills.

1. Arrival and paperwork. You arrive at the range, show your ID, sign the standard range waiver and get fitted with eye and ear protection — both are included, so you do not need to bring anything.

2. Safety briefing. Your instructor walks you through the four universal safety rules, muzzle discipline, trigger discipline, range commands and how a select-fire weapon behaves differently from a semi-auto. This takes around 15 minutes and it is not optional.

3. Semi-auto familiarisation. Before you touch the selector, you fire the same weapon in semi-auto to learn its grip, stance, recoil and sights. This is what separates a real shooting session from a novelty photo op.

4. Full auto live fire. Short controlled bursts first, then longer strings once your instructor sees stable recoil control. You move through the platforms in your package — AK47, AR15, Scorpion EVO, UZI and more — with coaching between every magazine.

5. Debrief and photos. You review your targets, keep them if you want, and get all the photos and video you like. A typical full auto session runs 1.5 to 3 hours depending on the package.

The range is 45 minutes from Wroclaw Airport (WRO), which has direct low-cost flights from London, Dublin, Manchester, Edinburgh, Paris, Brussels, Amsterdam, Frankfurt, Munich, Milan, Barcelona and dozens of other European cities. Flights are often cheaper than a single day of range fees at home, which is what makes a full auto weekend in Poland realistic rather than exotic.

Krakow (KRK) and Katowice (KTW) are also workable — roughly 3 to 3.5 hours by car or train — and many visitors combine a Krakow city break with a shooting day. Warsaw (WAW) is around 4.5 hours and best suited to a longer trip.

Hotels and apartments in Wroclaw start well below Western European prices, and we can recommend places close to the range for early-morning sessions.
