Brzeg, Opole, Wrocław — Our Location Explained for Foreign Visitors

Where exactly is our shooting range in Poland? A clear geography primer for first-time foreign visitors flying into WRO or driving from Germany.

If you're booking with us from abroad, the place names get confusing fast: Wrocław, Brzeg, Opole, Pawłów, Lower Silesia, Opolskie. Here is the simple version.

    Where we are

We're in Pawłów, postcode 49-300, between two larger towns:

    • Brzeg — 15 minutes west of us. Small historic town, this is where we collect visitors arriving by train.
    • Opole — 30 minutes east of us. Regional capital of Opolskie province, useful if you fly into KTW (Katowice) instead of WRO.

We sit just inside the Opolskie voivodeship (province), right on the border with Lower Silesia. The nearest big city is Wrocław, 45 minutes northwest by motorway.

    How to think about it

    • The "region" foreigners recognise is Lower Silesia (Dolny Śląsk) — Wrocław is its capital.
    • We're 5 km over the border in Opolskie, which is quieter, more rural and has the airspace and land we need to run a 300 m rifle line and a CQB shoothouse legally.
    • This is the same drive distance as London → Brighton, or Berlin → Potsdam-edge. It feels close.

    Airports ranked by convenience

    1. WRO — Wrocław–Copernicus — 45 min. Default choice.
    2. KTW — Katowice — 1 h 45 min. Useful if Ryanair has a cheap fare.
    3. POZ — Poznań — 2 h 45 min. Only if direct from your city.
    4. BER — Berlin Brandenburg — 4 h drive. Many German shooters use this.
    5. PRG — Prague — 3 h 30 min drive. Czech and Austrian visitors.

    Driving from Germany

Berlin → us = A4 the whole way. Cross at Görlitz/Zgorzelec, then continue east. 430 km, no tolls on the German side, light tolls on the Polish A4 (€15 one way). Standard 4-hour drive.

    Driving from the UK

Don't. Fly to WRO direct from London, Manchester, Birmingham, Edinburgh, Dublin. 2 hours wheels-up to wheels-down.

    The bigger picture

You're heading to rural Lower Silesia / Opolskie: flat farmland, small villages, big skies. Once you exit the motorway at Brzeg, you'll see why we built here — there is space, it is quiet, and the nearest neighbour is comfortably out of earshot.
