Why Shoot the FB MSBS Grot in Poland?
The FB MSBS Grot is the standard-issue assault rifle of the Polish Armed Forces. It is designed and built by Fabryka Broni Łucznik in Radom, chambered in 5.56×45 mm NATO, and issued across the regular army and the Territorial Defence Force. Unlike almost every other rifle in our armory, this one is genuinely Polish — and Poland is effectively the only place a civilian visitor can put rounds through it.
The Grot is a modular, gas-piston design: the same core can be configured as a conventional carbine or as a bullpup, with ambidextrous controls, a full-length top rail and free-floating handguard. The version our visitors shoot is the C16 FB-M1 carbine — the configuration you see on Polish soldiers. It feeds from STANAG magazines, so if you have ever run an AR15 the manual of arms will feel familiar within a magazine or two.
On the line, the session starts with the safety brief and manual of arms, then a confirmed zero at 25 metres. From there you build a group standing at 25–50 metres with a red dot, move to reactive steel at 100–200 metres, and work reloads and malfunction drills with your instructor beside you for every string. If you want distance, supported prone fire runs out to 300 metres — a range most civilian ranges in Western Europe simply cannot offer.
Most visitors book the Grot alongside an AR15 or an AK47 so they can feel the difference in the same afternoon: the Grot's slightly heavier receiver, its trigger, its recoil impulse and its ergonomics against the platform they already know. If you have travelled to Poland to shoot, firing the rifle the Polish Army actually carries is the one experience you cannot replicate at home.

Legal & Requirements
- No firearms licence, FAC or permit is required to shoot at our range as a visitor.
- All visitors MUST bring a valid ID or passport.
- Our Grot rifles are semi-automatic; select-fire platforms are available as a separate full-auto experience.
- Minimum age 18 without a guardian; under-18s may shoot with a parent or legal guardian present.
- No alcohol or drugs before or during shooting. Every shot is fired under direct instructor supervision.

Can I shoot the FB MSBS Grot in Poland as a tourist?
Yes. Polish law allows non-residents to shoot any firearm at a licensed range under instructor supervision. No firearms licence, no FAC, no permit — a valid ID or passport is all you need.
What is the MSBS Grot?
The FB MSBS Grot is the standard-issue assault rifle of the Polish Army, made by Fabryka Broni Łucznik in Radom. It is a modular 5.56×45 mm NATO gas-piston rifle that can be built in classic or bullpup configuration — the C16 FB-M1 carbine is the version our visitors shoot.
Is the Grot we shoot full-auto?
Our standard Grot session is semi-automatic — one shot per trigger pull. Select-fire platforms are available separately as part of our full-auto experience; ask when booking.
How much does a Grot session cost?
Rifle rental is 320 PLN per day, 100 rounds of 5.56 is 300 PLN and a private instructor is 425 PLN per hour. A one-hour taster with 100 rounds is about 1045 PLN.
Why shoot the Grot instead of an AR15?
Because you can almost certainly shoot an AR15 elsewhere, but the Grot is a Polish service rifle you can only realistically fire in Poland. Most visitors shoot both in one session and compare recoil, ergonomics and trigger.
How far can I shoot it?
Our rifle line runs reactive steel out to 300 m — far beyond what most civilian ranges in Western Europe allow.

Is the MSBS Grot hard to shoot for a beginner?
No. Recoil in 5.56 is mild, the controls are simple and ambidextrous, and you are coached one-on-one from the first round. Complete beginners are normally ringing steel inside the first hour.
Which Grot variant will I shoot?

Can I shoot the Grot and an AK47 in the same visit?
Yes — 5.56 against 7,62×39 in one afternoon is a popular pairing. Add a Glock 17 and you have covered pistol plus two rifle platforms.
Do I get photos of my session?
Yes. You keep your targets and we take photos and short video clips during the session at no extra charge.
How many rounds should I book?
100 rounds of 5.56 (300 PLN, around) covers zero, standing groups and steel. For distance work to 200–300 m, book 150 or more.
