12 Gauge vs 9mm vs .223 Rem
A 12 gauge slug carries several times the energy of a 9mm bullet or even a .223 rifle round. At short range nothing on our price list hits harder — except the .50 BMG.

What to expect when you shoot a 12 gauge
Does a 12 gauge kick hard?
Yes, it has real recoil — that is part of the fun. With the right stance, leaning slightly forward and pulling the stock firmly into the shoulder, even first-time shooters handle it comfortably.
Your instructor shows you the stance before the first shot and stays next to you the whole time.
Birdshot, buckshot or slug?
Birdshot throws many tiny pellets, buckshot fewer large ones, and a slug is a single heavy projectile. On our range you shoot steel and paper targets and see the difference in the spread for yourself.
Pump-action or semi-auto?
With a pump-action you cycle every shell by hand — the classic 'shuck-shuck' from the movies. A semi-auto reloads itself, so you can shoot fast strings on steel. Many visitors try both in the same session.

Do I need a licence to shoot a shotgun?
No. Tourists shoot under the supervision of our licensed instructor, so no firearms licence is needed. Bring your passport or ID.
Is a 12 gauge too strong for beginners?
No. The recoil is strong but manageable with the correct stance, which your instructor teaches before you fire.
What targets do we shoot?
Steel plates and paper targets at short range, so you can see and hear every hit.
Is 12/76 the same as 12 gauge?
Yes. 12/76 means a 12 gauge shell 76 mm long (Magnum). Standard shells are 12/70.
Can I combine the shotgun with other guns?
Yes. Many visitors shoot the shotgun with pistols, the AR15, full-auto guns or the .50 BMG in the same visit.
